New Semester Brandon Ferris The new semester at GMG will be starting on Monday, January 14. Students need to make sure they have all their work in. A note to seniors and senior parents, are you in line to graduate in May? See Mr. Pierson immediately if you have questions! Let’s make this semester a great one!

Yearbook Candy Cane Sale by Chey Wur The GMG Yearbook wanted to do something for Christmas, so they wanted to sell candy canes. The candy canes were one dollar for one or five dollars for four. The yearbook staff sold $160 to go straight into the yearbookfunds. Thank you for helping out the yearbook!

GMG Boys lost to Tripoli By: Grant Day Tripoli beat GMG Friday, January 4th. GMG’s lead scorer was Senior Blake Warren, scoring 17, followed by Junior Luke Petty scoring 15. The first quarter was Tripoli scoring 16 to GMG’s 11. Second quarter was tied 14 to 14. Third quarter was Tripoli again scoring 13 to GMG’s 17. Final quarter was GMG 24 to Tripoli’s 21. The final score of the game was Tripoli-68, GMG-62.

Parent Teacher Conferences By Eric Lada The GMG parent teacher conferences have been moved From February 14th to February 13th. They will be held from 4-8pm and the plan is to have them in the new gym. That location will be depending on basketball tournament play. Now you may enjoy Valentines Day with your loved ones. I hope you have a great time.

Early Out by: Justin Welton GMG school was originally planning to not have school on Friday, January 11th. Due to the recent snow days, there will be school on that day. We will be letting school out early at 1:30 on the 11th. The teachers will have an inservice as planned. Hopefully this will make everyone happy. Have a nice weekend!

Make-up Days by Austin Ridout Due to the two snow days GMG will be having make-up days. The first one is Friday, January 11 and it is a 1:30 p.m. dismissal. The second day will be March 28, which was supposed to be a vacation day. So plan accordingly for these days.

Marion Jr. High Honor Band By: Gage Fraser A few of the GMG Jr. High band students will be attending the Jr. High Honor Band at Vernon Middle School in Marion. This will be held on January 19, at 6:30 P.M. The students that will be attending are Sidney Sorem, Evan Espencheid, Logan O’Neal, Josh Welton, and Matthew Lolwing. These talented musicians will be taken there by the GMG band director Mr. Dan Lastovka. If you want to listen to amazing music, travel to Marion on Saturday, and listen to these awesome instrumentalists!
