Mildred Mary Puls, 82, of Tama, Iowa, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Overton Funeral Home in Garwin. Burial was at the Crystal Cemetery, rural Toledo, Iowa. The Overton Funeral Home is caring for Mildred and her family. Condolences may be left for the family at www.overtonservice.com. Mildred Mary Puls was born April 19, 1930 in rural Garwin, Iowa, daughter of Art and Hilda (Boerm) Puls. She received her education in country school and later moved with her family to Traer, Iowa. She then moved to the Garwin area where she made her home with her mother and step father Joe Skala. After the death of her mother she moved to the Tama County Home until 2006 when she became a resident of the Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama. Millie’s death came at the care center on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the age of 82 years. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and Wednesday night events in Garwin. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father and one brother Harold Puls. She is survived by two sisters, Pauline (Loren) Ewoldt of Traer and Vernetta Wickham of Leavenworth, Kansas and a sister-in-law Bernadine Puls of Gladbrook, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.
