The Gladbrook American Legion Auxiliary was happy to host the Senior Citizens Dinner in the “Festival of Trees” on Fri., Dec. 14th. The beautifully decorated trees and holiday displays made for a great atmosphere to serve a Christmas dinner. Sue Koster played Christmas carols on the piano. Approximately 60 seniors enjoyed the turkey dinner with all the trimmings. The tables were decorated with Esther Jindrich’s poinsettias and Joyce Bern’s nutcrackers. The Jr. Auxiliary members made igloo Christmas ornaments for the favors. Pastor Robert Doner gave the grace. The program was provided by Rev. Barb Muhs and Sue Koster.  Rev. Muhs told the history of some carols and everyone enjoyed singing them. All the seniors received a Santa Sack. The next Senior Citizens dinner will be held in March.
