Thirteen members and one guest met at the home of Janet Abbe. President Kathy Thurston called the meeting to order. Minutes for the October meeting were read and accepted as read. Old Business: Donna Tichy showed two different ways she could make cook books, and asked which one we would like. One was chosen and she will have them ready for the December meeting. New Business: Our December Christmas meeting will at King Towers in Tama. Judy Beane had roll call and her question was, “What was your most memorable Thanksgiving?” Kathy read two readings about ‘Presidential Humor’ Kathy sent around a sign-up sheet for next years meetings. Verna Stamp had the program and she invited Rhonda Miller from the Iowa River Hospice to speak. Rhonda was a very delightful speaker and she shared lots of wonderful information about Iowa River Hospice and Hospice House in Marshalltown. We really enjoyed her time spent here. Next month will be our Christmas luncheon and Kathy Thurston and Beverly Judge will be the hostesses, roll call by Vivian LeVier, program by Kathy and Beverly. Janet served refreshments of Praline Pumpkin Pie with whipped cream, mixed nuts, candies, holiday grapes, Holiday Wassail and coffee.
