Gladbrook Jr. Auxiliary News

The Gladbrook Jr. Auxiliary began their year with the annual family potluck at the Memorial Building. After the dinne, hosted by Kathy Vavaroch, Molly Dahms, and Kim Thompson, the Juniors made Halloween pumpkin bags filled with candy for the Iowa City Ronald McDonald House. The Gladbrook Jr. Scapebook won first place at state. The Juniors decided to donate items for “Operation Christmas Child” for girls 10-14 & 5-9. Items need to brought to the October meeting on the 13th, 9:30 at Westbrook Acres. The Juniors will also be donatingChristmas gifts  for a 2-year-old son of an area Military family. There will be more information at the October meeting. 3rd District Jr. President Kendra Vavroch told about her project of collecting colors and coloring books for military kids.The Senior members conducted the initiation ceremony for the Juniors. All Juniors renewed their vows in the Gladbrook Jr. Auxilairy and one new member, Greenlee Smock, took the vows for the first time and received her JR pin. Greenlee also was the lucky winner of the jar full of snack mix, as she guessed  the closes number of pieces in the jar.
