G-R Cross Country-By Coach Andy McQuillen

Grundy Center Invitational The G-R Cross Country Team is starting to get healthier, but we are still not at 100% yet. We are continuing to improve each week, which is a major plus. Megan Oelschlager, Rachel Bown and Callie Kuehl are still recovering from injuries. We hope to have them back next week. I was very happy with our performances at Grundy Center. Tyler Bovy ran very well in the varsity boys race, with a 20th place finish. Meg Edler ran a PR and finished 22ne overall in the varsity girls race. Emily Johnson also ran well with a 7th place finish in the JV girls race. Others who narrowly missed medals were Vasya Strohbehn and Hannah Martin. As I stated earlier, we are continuing to improve, which was a major focus for us this week in practice. We also are developing some consistency. This is a major positive for the confidence of the team. Next week, we travel to Jesup on Tuesday, September 25th and Saturday, September 29th we travel to South Hardin.
