Jesup 3, Gladbrook-Reinbeck 0 JESUP - Gladbrook-Reinbeck suffered season-opening defeat at the hands of Jesup on Thursday, 25-20, 25-21, 25-14. It was the fifth match of the season for Jesup (2-3). Shelton Hatch led the Rebels (0-1) with eight kills on the night. Britney Keller added five kills and Sidney Dilly had four. Taylor Weida totaled 10 assists and Jenny Schildroth added nine. Erin Wentzien served 11-for-14 with two aces and shared the Rebels’ team lead with five digs.

South Tama 3, Gladbrook-Reinbeck 0 TAMA - South Tama improved to 6-2 overall with a sweep of Gladbrook-Reinbeck in the NICL West opener, winning 25-13, 25-16, 25-22. Gladbrook-Reinbeck (0-2, 0-1) was led by Shelton Hatch with six kills and 10-for-11 serving with two aces. Britney Keller contributed four kills and was 6-for-8 serving with an ace. Erin Wentzien served 10-for-12 with an ace, and Taylor Weida totaled a team-high seven assists in the loss. Alyssa Christopher paced G-R with eight digs and Sidney Dilly had seven. Gladbrook-Reinbeck hosts BCLUW on Thursday, while South Tama entertains AGWSR.
