Before Judge Stephen B. Jackson Jr. in Tama County District Court in Toledo: Suzanne Reneta Papakee, 48, rural Tama, pled guilty to 1st offense drunken driving. She was sentenced to two days in jail, directed to pay up to $60 daily for sheriff’s jail fees and fined $1,250. Papakee was also ordered to pay $160 for restitution for police man-hours spent on her case and to complete drinking driver’s school. She was charged on Feb. 1 in the 800 block of South Broadway by Toledo Police Chief Jeff Harnish. Christian Rivera, 26, Cedar Rapids, pled guilty to possession of marijuana, 2nd offense. He was granted a deferred judgement, assessed a $315 cilil penalty and placed on probation for one year to the Department of Correctional Services. He was also directed to pay a $300 supervisory fee and undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment. Rivera was charged on March 13 at the Meskwaki Bingo • Casino by Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Officer Sarah Duncan. Katelyn Danielle Huntrods, 18, Toledo, pled guilty to possession of marijuana. She received a deferred sentence, was assessed a $315 civil penalty and placed on probation to the Department of Correctional Services for one year. She was directed to pay a $300 supervisory fee. According to the court record, Huntrods was accused of possessing marijuana in her system and in her residence on July 15 by Toledo Police Officer Dan Quigley.
Before Judge Robert E. Sosalla: Kerry Lea Jefferson, 31, Toledo, pled guilty to 2nd offense drunken driving. She was sentenced to two years in prison with all but seven days suspended, and placed on probation for one year to the 6th Judicial District department of Correctional Services. Jefferson was directed to pay a $300 supervisory fee. A charge of driving while license revoked was dismissed. She was charged on March 2 in the 1400 block of U.S. Highway 30 by Tama County deputy Sheriff Trevor Killian.

Three persons pled guilty to charges stemming from a fight at a residence in Toledo on Aug. 17. Lee Samuel Florke, 40, and Anthony Ray Arp, 28, both of Toledo, each were fined $148 including court costs for disorderly conduct by fighting. Tina Ann Florke, 31, Toledo, identified as Lee Florke’s sister, was fined $398 including court costs of interference with official acts. She was accused by Toledo Police of stepping infront of a Toledo Police officer who was attempting to arrest Lee Florke. Melissa Jo Payne, 33, Waterloo, failed to appear for trial and was adjudged guilty of driving while license suspended. She was assessed fine and court costs totaling $419. The charge was filed by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office. William Enrique Jimenez, 22, Des moines, failed to appear for trial and was adjudged guilty of having no driver’s license. He was assessed a fine and court costs totaling $356. The charge was filed by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office.
