Garwin Library News

August 3, 2012
Northern-Sun Print
The children’s summer program will be Tuesday, August 7th at 10:30 A.M. “Learn As You Play” will be presented by my lovely daughter-in-law, Amy, from Marion Iowa. I am always amazed by the kindness of the patrons of our library. We had a donation of 19 DVD’s by the Scheidel family and Tia, my faithful helper, donated books. I would also like to thank Herb for assembling the new chairs. Our bake sales have profited $95.00, with which I was able to purchase 15 children books and 10 adult books. Thanks to bargain books and Barnes & Noble summer sale. Weather permitting we will have bake sales in August as well. Our second new computer is here and the computer station is on it’s way. I would like to thank Keith Barloon and my son Sam for doing our tech work at no charge. As always the best for last, The Koster family has offered to pay for the carpet for the children’s department. We have a wonderful community and I thank each and everyone of the patron’s that help support the Garwin Library. I love to see your smiling faces!   Library Director Lola Slingluff
