Tama County Supervisors held a public hearing back in January 2012 to consider the proposal to vacate a road. Today, Monday, July 16, with an agreement between all concerned a resolution was passed to vacate all or a portion of 200th Street between Highway T47 and E Avenue in Spring Creek Township, Sections 22 and 27. The vacation will be on 200th Street from 400 feet west of the north quarter corner of Section 27 to about 33 feet west of the northeast corner of Section 27, a distance of about 3040 feet. Kenny Storjohann was present and agreed this would be agreeable to him provided a driveway was provided for their property. County Engineer Lyle Brehm agreed and stated the driveway was no problem. In other business a permit was granted for Windstream in Spring Creek township, section 24. A Liquor License was approved for JEV Winery in Otter Creek Township. Claims for the past week approved were for $94,729.58.
