Meghan McCreery, daughter of Marc and Regina McCreery of Louisville, Kentucky, and granddaughter of Richard and the late Charlotte McCreery, Gladbrook, signed her National Letter of Intent to play softball for the University of North Alabama, on April 16, 2012.
Meghan, the 11th ranked Top 100 Kentucky Softball Players, was offered a 4-year scholarship to play third base for the UNA Lions out of Florence, Alabama. She is finishing her senior year for Ballard High School who has been ranked either 1st or 2nd in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) Fastpitch Softball rankings and in the National Top 20 this season with a 23-3 record.
Meghan is also the great-grandniece of Roger Smith of Garwin.
