G-R staff honored at picnic

The staff of Gladbrook-Reinbeck School was honored at a year-end picnic hosted by the Board of Education on May 29th.  Staff members were recognized for their years of service.   The honorees were:  Ruth Parson – 45 years;  Pattie Bailey – 40 years;  April Acton – 35 years;  Barry Reese – 35 years;  Jim Anderson – 30 years;  Tom Boheman – 30 years;  Pam Heithoff – 25 years;  Darrell Paustian – 25 years;  Nancy Gardner – 20 years;  Lyn Purvis – 15 years; Kathy Wood – 15 years;  Jennifer Wrage – 15 years;  Karen Bassett – 10 years;  Deanna Spear – 5 years;  Jessica Weber – 5 years. Retirees were also recognized.  This year three staff members are retiring.    April Acton  and Barry Reese, middle school instructors, are retiring after 35 years of service to the district.  Jane Koele, currently the K-12 media specialist and previously a Reinbeck Elementary instructor, is retiring after 33 years of service to the district.
