June Library Newsletter Well, what can you say about this time of the year? BUSY for one! Wonderful weather but I could do without all this wind. Our Summer reading Program will be starting July 10 consisting of grades K-5 so come in and sign up May 29-June 2. Later this summer our library will be starting our electronic books that you may borrow for two weeks. The E-books are for your Kindle and Nooks. Of course, Corn Carnival as always will be going strong in June so we will be closed June 21 through 23. Something new!!! Sept. 21 and 22 “The Fiery Trial: Iowa and the Civil War” which is a Civil War exhibit bus will be parked at the library for all to tour. From what we hear it is really something to look forward to. Also remember we have a good selection of books for sale all the time. New Books Fiction: Unnatural Acts by Stuart Woods; Come Home by Lisa Scottoline; Calico Joe by John Grisham; The Witness by Nora Roberts; Breaking News by Fern Michaels; The Innocent by David Baldacci; Lullaby by Robert Parker/Ace Atkins; The Lifeboat by Charlotte Rogan; Just Down the Road by Jodi Thomas; Crystal Gardens by Amanda Quick, One Shot #9 by Lee Child; The Hard Way #10 and Bad Luck and Trouble #11 by Lee Child; Angelina’s Bachelors (LP) by Brian O’Reilly; The Attenbury Emeralds by Jill Paton Walsh.
