Garwin Library News

June 1, 2012
Northern-Sun Print
News from the Garwin Public Library: Well school is out for summer and we will be changing our Wednesdays back to 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Farmer’s Market is the 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 6 p.m. and the library will have a table of goodies to sell. Many of our patrons have offered to bake for us. The money we raise will be used to purchase new carpet for the children’s room. If we raise enough money we will also need a second computer, so come buy a brownie or if you dare, something I bake. As many of you know my sister Dawn Allen, of Carroll, Iowa, went missing May 4th of last year, my nephew has graciously donated 50 plus of her DVD’s in her memory. They may not be new, but they are new to us. We have many new books and always a new magazine to read. If you have any questions or would like to donate or help out with baked goods call me at 499-2024 (library) or 499-2063 (home). Hope to see you at the Garwin Library. Director Lola Slingluff
