Plans are continuing for the upcoming dinner and auction fundraiser to support the Ohrt family. Noah Ohrt, son of Ed and Kathy Ohrt of Gladbrook, has been diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma, a type of cancer that can afflict teens. Friends of the Ohrt family are holding a dinner and auction fundraiser March 31, 2012 at the Gladbrook Memorial Building. This free will donation dinner, a bake sale, and the silent auction will take place from 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with the live auction following at 1:00 p.m. We would like to thank Hometown Foods for providing the meal. We have received many generous donations for the auctions, some of which are on display in the window at Gifts of Grace. Stop by and check out the current display, as many items are being added on a daily basis. A complete listing of auction items to date is located in this issue, as well. We will continue to accept donations for the live and silent auctions, so please contact Jim & Deb Osborn (641)473-3250 if there are items you plan to donate. If you would like to volunteer to help with the dinner and/or provide a pan of bars, please contact Brett & Beth Miller (641) 473-2313. There is no contribution considered insignificant. A fund has been set up to receive cash donations: Great Western Bank, Noah Ohrt Donation Fund, PO Box 310, Gladbrook, IA 50635. Cash donations are being accepted at any Great Western bank location. If you have any questions or would like to donate in any way, feel free to contact any of the following committee members: Brett & Beth Miller (641)473-2313, Randy & Tamara Oettchen (641)473-3216, Jim & Deb Osborn (641)473-3250, or Keith & JoAnne Sash (641)473-2561.
