Garwin Modern Homemakers

March 16, 2012
Northern-Sun Print
On a beautiful warm, windy Tuesday, March 6, six members of the Garwin Modern Homemakers met at Gifts of Grace, Gladbrook, with Pat Ambler as hostess. Because of the change of date, some members could not attend. Bev Judge conducted the meeting, opening with the Seniors version of “Jesus Loves Me”. Roll call was suggested by Shirley Lewis “To what one thing about spring to you most look forward to?” The minutes of the February meeting were read. Donna Tichy had the program. She shared a letter from member Judy Beane, and read “Life is ___” and a defination of family. An interesting 40’s quiz was held and someone always came up with the correct answer. The “name the baby animal” quiz was more difficult. Each received a flower seed packets and wash cloths from Donna. The April 10th meeting will be at Ethel Lucht’s home. Verna Stamp will have roll call and Shirley Lewis the program. It was requested we play “7 Up-7 Down”. At close of the afternoon, we enjoyed our choice of cheesecake or chocolate cream cheese roll, coffee, tea or soda, and Cadburry Eggs, Ghirardelli chocoalte and mixed nuts furnished by hostess Pat.
