Gladbrook Library News-March Newsletter

March 9, 2012
Northern-Sun Print
No-oh yes, it is March. I swear I must have missed some winter months somewhere. As I write we are having snow, but has been a strange season. It hasn’t affected the library that much though. Our patrons are keeping up with their reading. We are having a St. Patrick’s Day party on Thursday, March 15 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Think green! Last month I had a combination Valentines and Presidents Day party for the kids. Lisa Reinhard was nice enough to come in and give a very interesting presentation on our presidents in which I admit I even learned new things about them. She helped the kids make various plants for the garden. They also had games and refreshments. We have a very interesting selection of books for you and some new DVD’s. Fiction: Learning to Swim by Sara Henry; Catch Me by Lisa Gardner; Home Front by Kristin Hannah; The Dressmaker by Kate Alcott; Celebrity in Death by J. D. Robb; Never Look Away and The Accident by Linwood Barclay; Moonlight in the Morning by Jude Deveraux; The Summer Garden by Sherryl Woods; Mind Prey by John Sandford; One Good Dog by Susan Wilson; The Black Ice by Michael Connelly; Time of Death by J. D. Robb; The Last Letter from your lover by Jojo Moyes; The Keeper of Lost Causes by Jussi Adler-Olsen; Sixty Acres and a Bride by Regina Jennings; Through my eyes by Tim Tebow (Biography); Hidden Summit by Robin Carr; Woman in Red by Eileen Goudge; Brother’s Blood by Scott Cawelti; Death Comes to Pemberley by P. D. James. Children’s Books: Fancy Nancy and the Mermaid Ballet by Jane O’Conner; The Artist who painted a Blue Horse by Eric Carle. Inspirational: Who is my shelter by Neta Jackson; Fatal Judgement by Irene Hannon; Spring for Susannah by Catherine Richmond; On Hummingbird Wings by Lauraine Snelling; A Whisper of Peace by Kim Vogel Sawyer; The Sword by Gilbert Morris; When Two Hearts Meet and When Love Gets in the Way by Janelle Mowery. DVD’s: A Mile in His Shoes; Midnight In Paris; The Greening of Whitney Brown; Serendipity; I Don’t Know How She Does It; One Day. That’s all for now. March into March and keep our thoughts of the coming Easter in our hearts. Pat Sievers, Asst. Librarian Gladbrook Public Library
