Garwin Modern Homemakers

March 9, 2012
Northern-Sun Print
Seven members of the Garwin Modern Homemakers met Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at the home of Vivian LeVier. President Kathy Thurston opened with a reading. The minutes of January 10, 2012, were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was given. We had no old business. New Business: Pat Ambler changed date and meeting place for March. It will be March 6, at Gifts of Grace in Gladbrook. Beverly Judge had roll call. Her questions were, “If you could have only one of your senses, which one would you keep?” Most answered their sight. Second question, “What memories do you have of your grandmother?” Next month Pat Ambler will be hostess, Shirley Lewis has roll call, and Donna Tichy has the program. Kathy closed the meeting with a reading, “Friends Increase Your Quality of Life”. Then she turned the program over to Ethel Lucht. Ethel read,”Taste of Winter.” Then she had us play a card game called 7-Up-7-Down. Janet Abbe was the winner of the prize. Vivian LeVier had a beautiful table setting for Valentines Day and served a lovely cake with punch, coffee, nut, and candy. Janet Abbe Secretary/Treasurer
