The ladies of the Casey’s General Store in Gladbrook have been very busy this month of February getting “pumped” for the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). The JDFR is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Driven by passionate, grassroots volunteers connected to children, adolescents, and adults with this disease, JDRF is the largest charitable supporter of T1D research. JDFR’s research mission is to discover, develop and deliver advances that cure, better treat and prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D). As the global leader in the fight against T1D, JDFR’s research programs are comprehensive-addressing the hopes and dreams of every person with T1D for the best quality of life and cure for the disease. The ladies of Casey’s have been collecting donations for JDRF during the month of February, for $1.00, you can buy a “shoe”, and as some of you know, the ladies have been pumping gas for a donation of $1.00. The ladies will continue getting “pumped” through the month, so stop in on Fri., Feb. 24, Mon., Feb,. 27 or Wed., Feb. 29 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and have one of the lovely ladies pump your gas for a worthy cause.
