February 24 benefit for Noah Ohrt By Margaret Thomsen

February 17, 2012
Northern-Sun Print
John Shouse has announced plans for a February 24 benefit for Noah Ohrt. The benefit will be held at the Uptown Lounge in Gladbrook and will take place from 5 to 10 PM. Shouse says customers can order from the menu and all profits will go to the Ohrt Family. Shouse adds, “I plan on having plenty of ribs and steaks.” Noah is the 15 year old son of Ed and Kathy Ohrt and is a freshman at G-R High School. He was diagnosed last week with Ewing’s Sarcoma. He started chemo treatments at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics on Friday and will be undergoing a second round in about three weeks. Plans are for him to return home as soon as he feels well enough. Look for a follow-up story next week in the Northern.
