Betts wins Presidential Class

Gladbrook Auxiliary Poppy Chairman Jodi Betts made two poppy centerpieces for the Mid-Winter Poppy Centerpiece Contest at the conference in Des Moines Feb. 10-12. Her large centerpiece deplicting the theme “Rembered Not Forgotten” won the Presidential Centerpiece Class.She used a Jim Shore cross with an American flag and a World War I Legion hat in her poppy arrangement. Her small arrangement of nine poppies or less around a wooden cross received 2nd place in the small arrangement class. This is the 3rd year in a row that Jodi has won the Presidential Poppy Centerpiece Contest.
