Gladbrook Auxiliary Sewing Day

January 27, 2012
Northern-Sun Print
Eleven members of the Gladbrook Auxiliary and a couple brave Legionnaires arrived at the Memorial Bldg on Thursday, Jan 19 ready to attack a bags of cut jeans and torn sheets with their sewing machines. Others clipped, rolled and balled the materials for the rug projects at the IVH. Materials not completed by the end of the day were taken home to complete. Pat Oettchen chairs this project and thanked all the ladies who volunteered their time, machines and can of soup for the pot for our famous ‘dump soup’ dinner. Those helping were: Pat & Ervin Oettchen, Lucy Dewitt, Margaret Griffin, Catherine Barnes, Joyce Swangel, Joyce Bern, Dick & Jolene Denbow, Pat Clausen and Louise Ulch.
