Rebels put squeeze on Jesup Luethje leads team with 16 points

REINBECK - Gladbrook-Reinbeck held Jesup scoreless for more than 8 minutes spanning the third and fourth quarters as the Rebel boys' basketball team ran away with a 51-34 victory Tuesday night in cross-NICL action. Colby Luethje led G-R with 16 points, five rebounds and three blocked shots. Parker Bolt had 12 points and five assists, while Jacob Smoldt notched 12 points and four steals. The Rebels (9-5) led 28-27 with 2 1/2 minutes left in the third quarter and the visiting J-Hawks (4-13) did not score again until the 2-minute mark of the fourth. Trevor Larson led Jesup with 13 points in the team's third straight loss. Gladbrook-Reinbeck goes on the road Friday to face top-ranked West Marshall and on Saturday plays at North Tama.
