G-R finds scoring touch vs. Hudson
January 13, 2012
REINBECK - The offense that went missing for the last half of December arrived just in time for the new year. The Gladbrook-Reinbeck girls’ basketball team ran past Hudson in cross-NICL action on Tuesday night, routing the Pirates 88-52. It was the first time the Rebels had scored more than 64 points since Dec. 9, ending a dry spell spanning the last four games before the holiday break. Erin Wentzien’s season-high 16 points helped to spur G-R (6-3) on this night. Paige Thompson also scored 16 points, Emily Snider had 15 points and six steals, and Jenna Roeding added 10 points and five rebounds in the victory. Hudson (7-4) was paced by Jenna Brandhorst’s season-high 17 points in the loss. Gladbrook-Reinbeck goes on the road for NICL West Division play on Friday night, visiting East Marshall in Le Grand.
