2012 Tama County Tourism Gala Coming Soon
January 13, 2012
Tama County Tourism is planning a Mystery Dinner Theater at the Dysart Country Club on Saturday, January 21. We’ll start with a social hour at 6:00 pm and at 7:00 pm, dinner will be served. We will dine on a 5 oz. swiss steak, party potatoes, green beans almandine, dinner roll, salad and a decadent dessert.Following dinner, the Wolf Creek Players will entertain you with a murder mystery. It starts with a dead body! Oh no! It’s the leader of the senior citizens tour group who stopped for the night. Who killed the old geezer? His pretty young wife? A senior citizen? Why? You must listen and watch carefully so you can decide. You will vote on who you think “done it” and why. What was the motive for the murder? The most clever voter will receive a prize A silent auction will be held throughout the evening with a live auction to follow the play. A variety of items and gift baskets have been donated from Tama County businesses. Did you know that over 1.3 million people live within one hour’s driving distance from Tama County? We want to encourage them to come here. We have published a full color brochure, “Get in Touch with Tama County,” and are in the second printing. Advertising has been placed in the Central Iowa Tourism Travel Guide and the Iowa Tourism Guide. Most recently we became members of Iowa Group Travel to encourage tour and group travel to our county.
