Twelve members of the Garwin Modern Homemakers met Tuesday, December 13 at 11:00 am at the Sunrise Café in LeGrand for their annual Christmas luncheon. Each member ordered from the menu; and after we ate, Vice President Bev Judge called the meeting to order. Roll call was answered to the questions, “What is the oldest ornament on your tree? and “What television Christmas special do you most anticipate?” The treasurer’s report was given and dues were collected. Expenses for the recipe and program books were paid out of the treasury. Vivian LeVier handed out two Christmas trivia quizzes. We all learned something we hadn’t known about Christmas. Darlene Bovenmyer led a “guess the number” activity for the door prizes, which were won by Ethel Lucht and Janet Abbe. Bev Judge closed with a reading “Why Santa Claus Has to be a Woman!” Judy Beane, Secretary
