Happy Thanksgiving from the Gladbrook Theater

November 25, 2011
Northern-Sun Print
Our movie for Thanksgiving weekend will be “Puss in Boots.” With the voices of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, & Billy Bob Thornton. Way before he even met Shrek, the notorious, fighter, lover, outlaw and CAT, Puss in Boots, aimed to become a hero. When he sets off on an adventure with the tough and street smart Kitty-Softpaws and the egg-head Humpty Dumpty, their intention is to save his town. This is the true story of The Cat, the Myth, the Legend……The Boots! This movie is sure to have humor for the adults and the kids too. We will be showing an extra matinee on Fri. afternoon at 1:30 plus the regular showtimes. Fundraising is still in progress for our Digital/3D conversion here at the theater. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans was generous enough to match 1/3 of what we raised with our Dinner & a Movie fundraiser. We raised over $1500 so the Thrivent group contributed $500.00 Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is a Fortune 500 financial services membership organization helping approximately 2.6 million members achieve their financial goals and give back to their communities.
