Dinner & A Movie fundraiser a big success

October 28, 2011
Northern-Sun Print
The Dinner & A Movie fundraiser for digital/3D was a huge success. We didn’t run out of anything until the last person was served. We served approximately 200 people and raised a total of $ 1932.00. We also received some new pledges to add to our growing list. We will update the list and have it in the paper for you next week. If you haven’t turned in a pledge or donation there is still time to do that. The raffle tickets for the quilt are officially available now. Stop into the lobby to see the quilt and buy your tickets. They will be available thru Dec. 10 when we draw for the winning name. Our movie for this week, Oct. 28 thru Nov. 2 will be the suspense/thriller “Dream House”, starring Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts, and Rachel Weisz. Successful publisher Will Atenton quit a high power job in Manhattan to relocate hi family to a quaint New England town. But, as they settle into their new life, they discover their perfect home was the murder scene of a mother and her children. The entire city believes it was at the hands of the husband who survived. When Will investigates, he’s not sure if he’s starting to see ghosts or if the tragic story is just hitting too close to home. His only clues come from Ann Paterson, a mysterious neighbor who know those who were shot. As Will and Ann piece together the haunting puzzle, they must find out who murdered the family in Will’s dream house before he returns to kill again. As the weather turns cooler, the leaves are turning colors, and Halloween is approaching what could be better than to watch a good suspense/thriller. See you at the movies!
