Movie Change This Week at the Gladbrook Theater Once again we have had a change in our movie schedule. Warner Brothers has pulled “Contagion” from our schedule. We have replaced it with “Abduction” starring Taylor Lautner, Lily Collins, and Alfred Molina. “What would you do if you found out that you were someone else?” For as long as he can remember, Nathan Harper has had the uneasy feeling that he’s living someone else’s life. When he stumbles upon an image of himself as a little boy on a missing persons website, all of His darkest fears come true: his life is a lie, carefully fabricated to hide something more mysterious and dangerous than he could have ever imagined. Now targeted by a team of assassins and federal operatives, Nathan realizes that the only way he’ll survive and solve the mystery is to stop running and take matters into his own hands. “The fight for the truth will be the fight of his life.” This movie promises to be an action packed thriller with Taylor Lautner from the “Twilight” series in the lead role! Theater Fundraiser to Be Held Our digital/3D fundraising campaign is still in full swing. The Dinner and A Movie fundraiser will be held on Sunday, October 23 from 11:00 – 1:00. We will be serving pork loins, wedding potatoes, your choice of salad and dessert. The dinner will be held upstairs here at the City Centre building. The meal will be a free will donation with the proceeds going toward the digital/3D update. After the dinner join us in the theater for the 1:30 showing of “Moneyball” starring Brad Pitt. Also, check out the quilt made by Katie Grimmius that we will be selling raffle tickets for. The quilt will be on display in the theater lobby. Tickets will be on sale from Oct. 23 through Dec. 10. Tickets will be $1.00 each or 6 tickets for $5.00. The winning ticket for the quilt will be drawn Sat. Dec. 10 at the end of the Lion’s Club soup day. You don’t have to be present to win the quilt but who would want to miss out on the great soups served that day. I also hear that the 4-H club will be doing the cookie walk that day.
