The JV Volleyball team has been very busy these past few weeks. We have played South Tama, BCLUW, and West Marshall and have hosted a tournament. Although our record isn’t exactly what we want it to be we are excited about the good things that are happening to our team and we do continue to improve. South Tama was a tough match, Brooke Boyle put up 6 kills and 2 blocks. Mikayla Knaack and Ellie Stoakes added 3 kills apiece. Sidney Dilly tallied 4 kills and 4 digs on the night. Taylor Weida had 7assist and Taylor Flamme had 8. Scores were-15-25 and a heart breaker 26-28. At BCLUW we were able to work together as a team, keeping our enthusiasm and spirit high. The result was our first conference victory. Brooke Boyle had 7 kills and one block Sidney Dilly added 6 and Britney Keller had 4 kills and 3 ace serves. Madi Corwin continues to lead the team in digs 6 and 3 ace serves. Taylor Flamme added 6 digs and 11 assist to her stats. It was a great win for a team that has been working very hard. The scores were 15-25.25-18 and 15-4. On Saturday we started off beating AGWSR good passing and strong serving putting up 10 ace serves in 2 games winning 21-9 and 23-21. Match 2 went to A-P 22-20, 18-21 and 10-15 Match 3 was close losing to New Hampton 18-21 and 18-21 Match 4 was close again but this time we came out on top 25-19 and 25-21. Match 5 was late in the day and serving errors were costly in the end as we lost in three 25-19 and 24-26 and 5-15. As coaches we were very proud of our play throughout the day we started the day with a team that had never played together before and end the day with a team that really learned how to play well together while having fun doing it. On the Day Sidney D led the team with 25 kills and 12 ace serves. Mikayla K finished with 20 kills and 9 ace serves. Brooke B tallied17 kills 10 ace serves and 3 solo blocks Bailea E had 5 kills Ashley Moore had 2 Taylor W. had 6 kills 36 assist and 9 ace serves. Jenny Schildroth stats included 24 assists 2 aces serves. Alyssa C and Kyleah Duggan play well in the back row finishing with 35 and 20 digs respectively Hanna Christopher played well on the right side with 2 solo and 1 assisted blocks and well as 4 assist and 1 kill. West Marshall was not one of our better performances as a result we will not dwell on it. Actually I only bring it up because it was mentioned in the first paragraph and I didn’t want you to think I forgot it. Rest assured we have worked out the kinks and are once again on the road to victory.

JV Girls win GMG tournament!! It was a great Saturday for the JV volleyball team as they defended their title again at the GMG tournament. In the second match Mikayla Knaack and Sidney Dilly had 4 kills apiece. While, Jenny Schildroth tallied 5 ace serves and 3 assist. Bailea E put up a solo block and the rebels won 21-13 and 21-16. In the Championship match the rebels needed everyone to play with heart, play smart, and represent the Rebel Nation with a solid volleyball performance. With “BL Betty” in the hallway they did just that!!! Winning the match in three games, 13-21, 21-18 and 15-13. Sidney Dilly recorded 10 kills, Mikayla K had 5 Ashley Moore put down 3.
