STATE CENTER - Gladbrook-Reinbeck needed to rally from a two-set deficit to stay unbeaten in NICL West play Tuesday, coming back to top West Marshall, 21-25, 22-25, 25-15, 25-14, 18-16. Emily Dinsdale paced the visiting Rebels with 19 kills. Emily Stoakes totaled 11 kills, 21 assists and six blocks, while Addi Kickbush tallied 10 kills and 21 digs. Carrie Shouse also had 10 kills to go along with three solo blocks. Taylor Flamme contributed 20 assists as well. Erin Wentzien had 31 digs and two aces, Jenna Roeding had five blocks, and Britney Keller added four aces for Gladbrook-Reinbeck (11-7, 5-0), which goes to the NU High Tournament on Saturday. McKenzie Shipley and Whitney Benson both had 13 kills and four blocks to lead West Marshall (8-8, 1-4) at the net. Alarie Craven and Courtney Porter amassed 21 and 15 assists, respectively. McKenna Hotopp had a team-high 23 digs and Hailee Halverson added 20 digs to help the Trojans get out to the 2-0 lead, according to head coach Mike Eckhardt. West Marshall hosts Aplington-Parkersburg on Thursday in a make-up match.
