BCLUW Tuesday, Jan. 18th, G-R 8th grade Boys Basketball traveled to Union and the Rebels came away with a 42-14 win, Rebels are now 8-0 overall. We came out with our weakest start of any game this season and never got things going until the 2nd quarter. The game ended with a two high notes: We had 11 G-R players scoring in this game, and we gave up a season low of 14 points to the Comets. Two team stats that are going to be hard to top in our next 4 upcoming games on this season. The Young Rebels were lead by Zach Pierce 12 pts, followed by Camden Kickbush 8 pts, Phil Zimmerman 6 pts with Cameron Clark, Luke Holman, Bradon Trepp, Brady Wagner, Bryce Ehlers, Bennett Petersen, Logan Flamme, & Noah Ohrt all with 2 points each. Other players contributing just as importunately in steals, assists, & rebounds were: Austin Bell, Matt VanHauen, and Brady Kuehl. Our upcoming schedule is Thursday. Jan. 20th at South Hardin (Hubbard site), Tues. Jan 25th East Marshall at Gladbrook, Thurs. Jan. 27th West Marshall at Gladbrook, and Monday Jan 31st A-P at Gladbrook to conclude our season, the starting time is 4:15p.m.for the 8th graders.
