North Tama 57, GMG 31 TRAER - Kailey Kladivo posted a double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Class 1A No. 11 North Tama girls to an Iowa Star Conference victory over visiting GMG. Erin Herink added 11 points for the Redhawks (14-1, 12-1), who have three more games slated for this week. North Tama hosts East Marshall on Thursday and Waterloo Christian on Friday before going to Gladbrook-Reinbeck on Saturday. Amanda Howard chipped in seven points and five rebounds for the Redhawks, while Sydney Fehr and Nicole Schlicting both had six points. Jamie Hlas had a team-high 16 points for GMG (2-14, 2-12). Emily Havelka added eight points. Both Havelka and Caitlin Appelgate had a team-high seven rebounds for the Wolverines, who play Friday at Colo-NESCO.
North Tama 70, GMG 39 TRAER - Class 1A No. 8 North Tama had three players score in double figures to take down GMG in an Iowa Star Conference contest Tuesday, 70-39. Lucas Hefty led all players with 19 points for North Tama (12-2, 10-2), Mitchell Boerm had 16 points and Brendon Boerm 12. Tyler Cizek added eight points and 11 rebounds, Cade Isenhower had nine boards and Hefty five. Wade Barritt led GMG (3-12, 3-11) with 12 points, Luke Petty had seven and Brandon Lolwing six. Kyle Warren added five points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
