01/7/11 On the road once again we traveled to Eldora to play the Tigers. This was a game where I didn’t think we played very well. We turned the ball over more than I liked and our rebounding was poor in the first half. On the other hand when the game was over we had won by the score of 86-52. Hard to argue with those results! Our scoring leader was Lauren Bengen with 16, Erin Wentzien finished with a career high of 14, Emily Stoakes 12, Addi Kickbush 9, Emily Snider 9, Paige Thompson 9, Emily Dinsdale 9, Jenna Roeding 4, and Taylor Flamme 4. Emily Stoakes led on the boards with 9, Paige Thompson 6, Lauren Bengen 3, Jenna Roeding 3, Taylor Flamme 3, Addi Kickbush 1, Erin Wentzien 1, Emily Dinsdale 1, and Britney Keller 1. Paige Thompson handed out 8 assists and Emily Stoakes blocked 4 shots for the game.
01/08/11 The next afternoon we traveled east to play Jesup. The Rebels had a tough time getting into the flow of this game. I think we were a bit tired from the long week on the road. But once again these young ladies found a way to win. Late in the 3rd quarter and early in the 4th they found a spark of energy and were able to wear out the J-Hawks and get a 67-59 win. Lauren led us in scoring with 17 points. Emily Stoakes had 13, Emily Dinsdale 10, Jenna Roeding 10, Addi Kickbush 8, Paige Thompson 7, and Emily Snider 2. Jenna Roeding was all over the glass as she pulled down 10 big rebounds. Emily Stoakes had 5 rebounds and 3 blocked shots for the game. If you have not seen these young ladies play this year, you need to get to the gym. With their run and gun style the Rebels are third in the state in scoring, averaging about 70 points per game.
