GLADBROOK - Gladbrook-Reinbeck quarterback Parker Bolt threw for 233 yards and four touchdowns, finding Logan Petersen three times in the Rebels' 35-7 rout over Ogden in Friday's Class 1A District 4 opener at 'The Pit.' Petersen was on the receiving end of five passes for 102 yards, scoring on touchdown catches of 24, 26 and 37 yards to help the Rebels (3-0, 1-0) join ninth-ranked Eagle Grove and Woodward-Granger as the last remaining unbeaten teams in the district. Gladbrook-Reinbeck visits Woodward-Granger next Friday night. Travis Freese gained 84 yards rushing on 12 carries, including a 34-yard TD scamper that started the scoring in the game. He also hauled in a 40-yard scoring strike from Bolt to give Gladbrook-Reinbeck a 28-0 lead at halftime. Zach Schwartz carried six times for 56 yards in his return to the Rebel backfield. Brady Billerbeck led the G-R defense with 15 tackles, Colton Puls had eight, and Colby Luethje had an interception. Ogden (1-3, 0-1) avoided its first shutout loss with Kyle Paulson's 46-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. This was the Bulldogs' third straight loss since breaking an 11-game losing streak with a season-opening 24-21 win over Colo-NESCO.
