Gladbrook Commercial Club The Gladbrook Commercial Club will hold a General Committee meeting, Thursday, September 2, 6:00 p.m. at the Uptown Lounge and Supper Club. Order own meal.

Tama Co. Republican Central Committee The Tama County Republican Central Committee will meet on Monday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m. at the State Bank of Toledo Community Meeting Room. Use the South Broadway entrance.

Peace Church Ice Cream Social Peace Church Homemade Ice Cream Social is Sun., Aug. 29th, 4-7 p.m. There will be sandwiches, walking tacos, beans, chips, pies and cakes. Quarts to go and carryouts and deliveries.

Bowlers Wanted We are now forming our fall bowling leagues.  We have openings on our Sunday mixed league, Tuesday men’s league, Wednesday mixed league and our youth leagues on Sat.  If you are interested in any of these leagues you can call 641-473-2293 for more information.

Business Men’s League The Business Men’s bowling league will meet on Tues. Aug. 31 at Gladbrook Bowl @ 7:00 pm for a short meeting. Bowling will being following the meeting. Gutter Cutters The Wednesday night Gutter Cutters bowling league will meet on Wed. Aug. 25th at Gladbrook Bowl @ 7:00.  We will have a short meeting with bowling to begin after. Sunday Night Hits & Misses The Sunday Night Hits & Misses mixed league will meet on Sunday Aug. 29 at Gladbrook Bowl @ 6:00 for a short meeting.  Bowling will begin after the meeting.  If you are interested in joining this league please feel free to come to the meeting or if you have any questions you can call 641-473-2293.

Music on the Front Porch Music on the Front Porch at Westbrook Acres in Gladbrook for August 31 will be Last Chance Band. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Please bring your own lawn chair. Pop, popcorn, and hot dogs will be for sale. In case of bad weather it will be held indoors. Crayon Corner Learning Center Now taking registration for the 2010-2011 school year. For preschool, day care, Before & After school age care. Pre-K must be 3 or 4 years of age by September 15. Daycare-ages 6 weeks through 4th grade. Before & After-Kindergarten through 4th grade. Gladbrook Theater Concessions The Gladbrook Theater concessions will be open daily at 1:00 p.m.

Gladbrook Farmer’s Market Gladbrook’s Farmer’s Market is every Wednesday evening 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. located at the Gladbrook United Methodist Church parking lot located across from Caseys. In case of bad weather the market will be held in the City Center. Gladbrook’s Farmer’s Market is open thru October.

Garwin Wednesday Night Entertainment on the Bandstand Garwin’s Wednesday Night Entertainment on the Bandstand for Wed., Aug. 24 , 7 to 8 p.m., will be The Other Band with Rick Anderson. Farmer’s Market 6 t0 8 p.m. For more info please call Joyce @ (641) 499-2215.

Siren Testing Garwin Fire Department will test the warning sirens on the 3rd Monday of the month. This will be a year-round policy.
