Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School Spring Play Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School Drama Department will present the production of the Pulitzer Prize winning play “Our Town” by Thorton Wilder. Showtimes are Friday, March 26 at 7:00 p.m. and again Sunday, March 28 at 2:00 p.m. Admission is $4 and tickets may be purchased at the door.

Garwin Easter Egg Hunt Garwin’s Easter Egg Hunt, for kids preschool through 4th grade, will be Saturday, April 3, starting at 9:00 a.m., in the GMG High School gym. This event is sponsored by the Garwin Ambulance, with monies donated by area residents and businesses.

Gladbrook Young Women EASTER EGG HUNT Come join us for a Easter Egg Hunt at the Park followed by a movie at the Gladbrook Theater! Date: Saturday April 3rd, 2010 Time: Be there at 10:15, Hunt begins at 10:30 Place: Gladbrook Park (weather permitting, if raining the Hunt will be at the Gladbrook City Center) Ages: 0-4th Graders All activities and movie are free. Parents are encouraged to stay with their kids.

Good Friday Afternoon Service The annual Good Friday afternoon service will again be hosted by Westbrook Acres on April 2nd, 2 p.m.. Chapel Church is the lead church and all the area clergy will be participanting. Everyone is invited to share the story of the curcifixion with the residents of Westbrook. Refreshments will be served.

Good Friday Evening Service Peace Church will be the host church for the Community Good Friday Services on April 2nd, at 7:30. The service is entitled “Lovelight”, It is a service with candles cast in shadows as the story of Christ’s crucifixion is told. There is a cast of characters and the story includes a power point presentation. A mass choir from the local churches will be singing “Heart of Jesus”, This service is one that surely will bring the essence of our faith powerfully alive. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow the service.

Garwin Lions Club Pork Supper The Garwin Lions Club will host their annual Pork Supper, Saturday, April 10, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Catholic Parish Hall, Garwin. Adults $8.00, children (10 & under) $5.00. Tickets available from any Lions Club member, Carl’s Electric and Lincoln Savings Bank in Garwin. Take-outs and delivery available by calling (641) 751-8529 or (641) 751-7102 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. that evening.

Corn Carnival Dinner The Corn Carnival Corporation will host a fundraising dinner on Sun., April 11th, 11:00- 1 p.m. at the Gladbrook Memorial Building. It will be a Pork Dinner with all the trimmings. Sweatshirts, t-shirts and quilt tickets will be available to purchase. Library Coffee Time Stop in and join us every Friday afternoon at the Gladbrook Public Library at 2 p. m. for coffee and conversation. We might even discuss a book or two. Connections Support Group NEW Group- Connections an informal meet & eat group. Meets the last Monday of each month. March 29th 5:30 - 6:30pm @ Iowa River Hospice Home-502 Plaza Heights Rd Marshalltown Enter through the bottom entrance(staff entrance). *Dinner to be provided. **This group is intended for those dealing with the recent loss of a loved one.
