Festival of Trees Open daily at 1:00 p.m. at the City Center. Thursday’s only from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Bona Dea Chapter 375 OES Traer, Dysart, Gladbrook will hold their regular stated meeting on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. Note time change. Committee is Mary and Jay Aschenbrenner, Marilyn Mehlhaus and Sue and Max Morrison.

Santa Letters If your children are wanting to get Santa their Christmas list there will be a special box for Santa letters in the Post office starting November 27th and will be there till December 18th!   Please remember to include name and address so that Santa can write back to you!

Library Coffee Time Stop in and join us every Friday afternoon at the Gladbrook Public Library at 2 p. m. for coffee and conversation. We might even discuss a book or two. Bring a friend and hopefully brighten your day and ours!! Pat & Karen

Gladbrook Young Women Winter Garage Sale The Gladbrook Young Women will be hosting a WINTER GARAGE SALE. The sale will be Saturday January 30, 2010 at the Gladbrook City Center. This will be open to those wanting to have a garage sale, sell crafts and to home based vendors. $10 per booth. If interested please call Jackie at 641-473-2729. Breakfast With Santa Come have “Breakfast With Santa”, Saturday, December 5, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at Garwin Christian Church. Everyone is invited, children must be accompanied by an adult. Free Will donation.

Painting at the Library The library is having a one day tote type bag painting class for Christmas. Do one for yourself or a Christmas gift. It will be on Monday, December 7 from 6 to 8 P.M. under the instruction of Lucy DeWitt. There will be a $10 fee for supplies that she will provide. Please let us know if you are planning on coming.

Garwin Community Breakfast A Community Breakfast will be held Sunday, December 6, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Garwin City Park shelter house. Menu includes Belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, sausage, toast, coffee, milk and juice. This a free will offering. Proceeds to go towards the new popcorn stand. Sponsored by Garwin Revitalization Committee.

Gladbrook-Lincoln Senior Citizens The Gladbrook-Lincoln Senior citizens will meet Friday, December 11 at the Gladbrook Memorial Building. Gladbrook Auxiliary will serve an 11:30 a.m. meal. No table service is necessary. Please call Marcella Lemke at 473-2924 by Monday, December 7 with your reservation. Olivet Lodge #436 A.F. & A.M. Olivet Lodge #436 A.F. & A.M. will meet Thursday, December 10. Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Please bring a dish to share. Meeting at 7:30 p.m.

Gladbrook Legion, Auxiliary & Juniors The Gladbrook Legion & Auxiliary will meet on Wed., Dec. 9th for a 6:30 supper. All food will be provided and table service. The Juniors will perform a Candlelight Christmas Program following the meal. The Auxiliary members are asked to bring a grab bag gift. Juniors will practice at 6 p.m. Hostesses are Shannon Wright, Shanna Goos, Melissa Sienknecht, & Sherry Scarf.

Gladbrook Women’s Club Christmas Luncheon The Gladbrook Women’s club will have their Christmas Luncheon at the Victorian House in Parkersburg on Dec. 10th at 11:30. Car pools will be formed at the Methodist Church parking lot at 10:30. The executive board will meet at the Gifts of Grace at 8:30 on Dec. 7th
