The American Legion Auxiliary helped the Gladbrook Elementary participate in the Character Counts Week, October 18-24, and Red Ribbon Week, October 23-31. The auxiliary helped purchase pins the students wore. The pins said “Let’s Show Good Character” and listed the traits which are Citizenship, Trustworthiness, Leadership, Respect, Fairness, Caring, Honesty, Responsibility, and Pride. Joan King, Child and Youth Chair, handed the pins out to the first and secnd grade students pictured.
