CROP Walk The Tama County Northwest Ministerial Association is planning CROP Walk for Sun., Oct. 4th, 2 p.m. meeting at Peace Church. Walkers of all ages will walk the Gladbrook Bike Trail. Refreshments will be served by the Garwin Yoke. Donations can be left at any of the local churches or youth group members.

Gladbrook Jr. Auxiliary The Gladbrook Jr. Auxiliary will meet on Sun., Sept. 27th, at 6 p.m. for the family potluck and kick-off the new year. Halloween favors will be made for the Ronald McDonald House. Prizes will be drawn and patches given out. Chairmen are Sandy Dale, Kathy Vavroch, LaShay Brubaker, and Molly Dahms.

Gladbrook Legion The Gladbrook Legion’s September meeting will be held on Monday evening, the 21st starting with a light suppper at 6:30pm. Dues are still being collected and winter projects will be discussed. Plan to attend.

John Deere Grant Commodities John Deere Grant Commodities will be available to senior citizens on Saturday, September 26, 9:00 a.m., at the Gladbrook United Methodist Church. This is a ONE TIME DEAL. If you need delivery, please call 473-2928.

Special Service at Peace Church Everyone is invited to a special worship service on Sun., Sept. 20th, 10:30 p.m. to honor Pastor Robert Doner on his 10th anniversary at Peace Church. A musical, inspirational, and entertaining celebration is being planned. There will be a dinner following the service. Crayon Corner Learning Center Fund Raiser Meal Crayon Corner Learning Center Fundraising Meal will be Sunday, October 4, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gladbrook Memorial Building. Join us for a free will Soup, Hot Dogs & pie Meal.

Gladbrook Legion/Auxiliary Fundraiser Dinner The Gladbrook Legion/Auxiliary will be having their annual fund-raiser dinner on Sunday, September 27, serving from 11-1pm with carry-outs available by calling 473-2020. We will be serving a ham ball dinner, cheezy potatoes, homegrown sweet corn, salads, dessert and drink All proceeds go to the expenses of the Memorial Bldg. Please support this effort.

Gladbrook Gals & Guys The newly elected 2009-2010 officers of the Gladbrook Gals & Guys will meet on September 20 at 2 p.m. at the City Center to plan the program for the year. This includes Corissa, Angela, Tyler, Stephanie, Rachel B., Claire, Kelli, Meg, Madeline, Levi and Nicholas. Bring your calendars and ideas.

Garwin Freedom Days Spaghetti Suppers Garwin Freedom Days Fundraising Committee will sponsor Thursday night spaghetti suppers starting Thursday, September 10 thru the first Thursday of October, serving from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Garwin Shelter House at the park. This is a free-will offering.

Gladbrook Farmer’s Market Wednesday evernings 5 to 7 p.m. in front of the City Center. In case of rain, will be held in City Center.

Library Coffee Time Stop in and join us every Friday afternoon at the Gladbrook Public Library at 2 p. m. for coffee and conversation. We might even discuss a book or two. Bring a friend and hopefully brighten your day and ours!! Pat & Karen
