Kids Club Calling all 2nd-4th graders who would like to belong to a club, where you will learn to be a better friend to yourself, others, and to God. Kids Club, an after-school program, begins Sept. 16th, 3:30-5:00 at the Gladbrook UMC, and each Wednesday that school is in session. Permission forms are available at the sponsoring churches, Peace Church, Gladbrook UMC, and Salem Church of Lincoln, and Gifts of Grace. Please return the forms before Sept. 16th to any of the above named locations. The UMC will host Sept. 16-Dec. 16th and Peace Church Jan. 6th-April 21st.

Olivet Lodge #436 A.F & A.M. Olivet Lodge #436 A.F & A.M. will meet Thursday September 10th. Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Please bring a dish to share. Meeting at 7:30 p.m.

Garwin Lions Club The Garwin Lions Club is sponsoring it’s 4th annual Garwin Community Pot Luck Picnic. It will be held at the Garwin Community Building & Lawn in the city park. Everyone is welcome! Come and enjoy meeting new neighbors & greeting old friends. Check out and enjoy the recently remodeled shelter house. This will be held rain or shine. Please bring one hot and one cold dish. Beverages & table service will be furnished. Summer is near end and school will be starting, so this would be a great time to set back and relax with your friends. Gladbrook Pool Gladbrook Pool will be open on the following dates: Monday, August 24- Thursday, August 27 & Monday, August 31- Thursday September 3. Pool locker-room area will open at 3:30. Swimming hours are from 4:00-6:00

Peace Church Ice Cream Social The annual Peace Church Homemade Ice Cream Social will be held on Sun., Aug. 30th, from 4-7 p.m. at the church. Beef burgers, hot dogs, cakes, pies and ICE CREAM (quarts to go).

Garwin Siren Testing The Garwin Fire Department will test emergency sirens every 3rd Monday through the summer months.

Gladbrook Farmer’s Market Wednesday evernings 5 to 7 p.m. in front of the City Center. In case of rain, will be held in City Center.

Library Coffee Time Stop in and join us every Friday afternoon at the Gladbrook Public Library at 2 p. m. for coffee and conversation. We might even discuss a book or two. Bring a friend and hopefully brighten your day and ours!! Pat & Karen

Gladbrook Museum Gladbrook Museum will be open 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday & Sunday starting May 1 until the end of November. Gladbrook Museum is located on the second floor of the City Center.
