“Spoken 4” To Give Concert The Southern Gospel Group, “Spoken 4” will be performing at United Presbyterian Church on Sunday, July 19, at 10:30 a.m. “Spoken 4”, with over 100 collective years of southern gospel experience, the group has been turning the heads fo fans and fellow artists alike. Performing over 200 dates a year across the country and into Canada, this energetic group is captivating audiences of all ages with their unique combination of vocal abilities and stage presence. “Spoken 4” received national recognition by being voted a top ten 2008 Horizon Group of the Year after only one year of ministry together. The Second Annual Jason Hallett Memorial Ride The Second Annual Jason Hallet Memorial Ride will be held July 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Jokers Iron Legend Saloon in Traer. They will leave at 11:00 a.m. and will be returning at 5:00 p.m. This year there will be Hansen’s Fun Bus for those who do not want to drive but want to attend. Anyone can sign up at Jokers before July 11. Jokers will be raffling off a 32’ TV along with many other items that have been donated for this event. Tickets are on sale now at Jokers. The drawing will be held July 11 at 7:00 p.m. in which you do not need to be present to win. Food will be served at 5:00 p.m. with C.J. roasting a hog and plenty of other sides. Proceeds will go towards the Jason Hallett Scholarship Fund at North Tama. Jason lost his life on July 9, 2007 in a truck accident on Highway 14, north of Marshalltown. He was employed at Con-Struct.

Gladbrook Gals & Guys REMINDER: All Gladbrook Gals & Guys 4-H members please plan to complete our Tama County Fair Ground clean up assignment on Saturday, July 11. Please arrive at 8:30 a.m. and report to the Rogers Building. Jenny Gienger and Callie Hulst are hostesses. We are completing our assignment one week early. We will also have a short club meeting following the clean up. Also watch for your Tama County Queen banquet assignments in the mail. The banquet is in the afternoon Sunday, July 19 at the Gladbrook United Methodist Church. Next meeting is August 9.

Pork Loin Dinner Crayon Corner Learning Center Crayon Corner Learning Center will be hosting a Pork Loin Dinner (free will donation) to raise funds for the new facility on Sunday, July 12th, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Gladbrook City Center. Spousal Support Group Iowa River Hospice hosts a Spousal Support Group at Hyvee in Marshalltown on July 12th @ 5pm. This group meets at the same time and place the second Sunday of each month for a meal, support and socialization (Usually not intended for newly bereaved persons). If questions, call 753-7704.
Shiloh To Give Concert at Chapel Church Gladbrook Chapel United Methodist Church, 1597 Abbott Ave. is hosting a concert feature Christian music group Shiloh July 12 at 10:40 a.m. The church will be accepting free will offerings for the performance. Shiloh has been a trio for over a decade and are based out of Texas. They aer a combination of inspiraltional, praise and worship, progressive southern gospel and many other styles of music with an added Texas flare.
