Gladbrook Vacation Bible School Gladbrook Vacation Bible School will be held June 15th-19th, from 6-8 p.m. at Peace Church.

Gladbrook Lions Ladies Night Gladbrook Lions Ladies Night will be Wed., May 20, at 6 pm at the Gladbrook Memorial Building. A catered meal will be served; spouses & potential Lions members free. Please RSVP to Stan Koster, 473-2900 or swkost@iowatelecom.net, by Wed, May 13, for reservations.

Crayon Corner Learning Center registration night If you missed the Crayon Corner Learning Center registration night, please call Beth Thompson to register your preschooler for the 2009-2010 school year! Also, there are still spots available for school age children in the extended learning center before or after school. Please call 473-2875 today!

Garwin Siren Testing The Garwin Fire Department will test emergency sirens every 3rd Monday through the summer months.

Gladbrook Auxiliary Mother’s Tea The Gladbrook Auxiliary Mother’s Tea will be held on Mon., May 11th, 1:30 p.m. The Memorial Service will be conducted, membership awards presented, and their will be a musical program. The State, District, and County Presidents will be our guest. Hostesses are Lisa Reinhard, Alma Gilchrist, and Marge Grove. Gladbrook City Wide Garage Sales The Gladbrook City Wide Garage sales will be held on May 29th and 30th, 2009.  If you are interested in registering a garage sale, please contact Jackie Stephenson by May 23 at 641-473-2729 or by e-mail at jstephenson@live.com.  When calling or e-mailing please have the following information ready: when you will have your garage sale, time of sale, name, and address.  Registration fee this year is $10 per sale site.

Gladbrook Farmer’s Market Starting Wed. May 6 - NOTE DAY CHANGE!! 5 to 7 p.m. Across from City Centre - Inside City Centre in case of rain! Homemade - Homegrown!!

Library Coffee Time Stop in and join us every Friday afternoon at the Gladbrook Public Library at 2 p. m. for coffee and conversation. We might even discuss a book or two. Bring a friend and hopefully brighten your day and ours!! Pat & Karen

Gladbrook Juniors Poppy Time The Gladbrook Juniors will be distributing poppies on Wed., May 13th. Meet at the Memorial Building after school for a treat and when you are finished distributing poppies in Gladbrook and Lincoln supper will be served by the Auxiliary. You may ask your friends to come along and help.

Gladbrook Women’s Club Gladbrook Women’s Club will hold their membership brunch and the installation of new officers at the Peppercorn in Aplington on May 14th, followed by shopping and a tour of the Methodist Church Biblical Wall Sculpture in Eldora. Guests and women interested in joining are encouraged to attend. We will leave at 8:30 from the Gladbrook Methodist Church parking lot. The executive board meeting will be held at Laura Osborn’s at 8:30 on May 11th.

Olivet Lodge #436 A.F. & A.M. Olivet Lodge #436 A.F. & A.M. will meet Thursday May 14th. Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Please bring a dish to share. Meeting at 7:30 p.m.
