G-R Drama MIRACLES CAN HAPPEN! Basketball is over! Need something to do for entertainment? Come to the G-R auditorium on Friday night or Sunday afternoon and see the G-R Drama production of William Gibson’s “The Miracle Worker”, a play about Annie Sullivan, the teacher who opened Helen Keller’s mind, trappped in deaf-blindness, to the world through the miracle of language. The actors at G-R Drama perform without reward of academic credit or athletic glory; they have no trophies. They perform for the love of the art. Any performance needs one thing to be successful- YOU! Tickets will be available for an extremely reasonable $4.00 at the door for both performances- Friday March 27th at 7:00 PM and Sunday March 29th at 2:00PM.

Gladbrook Gals & Guys Check your calendars for March 27 and 28. The club will be making T-braids at the Middle School Lunchroom. Work times are 4-6?p.m. on Friday, March 27, and on March 28,8-11a.m. and 1-3?p.m. Call Pauline when you can work. We will have our club meeting and lunch on the 28 from 11-1. Your orders need to be called in to Pauline by March 14. Lunch/Presentations by Stephanie & Sidney Dilly and Courtney Catron. If working on Saturday, bring a marked rolling pin. Each member bring 3 marked large ice cream pails to Sherri Scarf before March 27.

Community Good Friday Service The Garwin, Gladbrook & Lincoln communities are invited to the Community Good Friday service at Chapel Church, 1597 Abbott Ave, at 7:30 pm on April 10. Lunch afterwards. Community choir practice will be April 1 from 6-7 pm at Peace Church.

WOW Group The WOW Group will meet Wednesday, April 1, 11 a.m., at the Gladbrook United Methodist Church. We will be traveling out of town!!!!!!!

G-R FFA Appreciation Breakfast The Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School FFA is excited to host a community appreciation pancake breakfast in order to thank all past and future supporters of the Gladbrook-Reinbeck FFA Chapter. Please join us April 4th, 2009 at the Lincoln Amvet Hall for a pancake breakfast, free of charge. The FFA will be serving breakfast from 7-11 a.m. and will serve on a first come first serve basis. A free will donation will be accepted to support the Gladbrook-Reinbeck FFA Chapter and activities.

Open Gym There will be an Open Gym in Gladbrook in the Middle School Gym on Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Come enjoy the fun.

Easter Bunny is Coming to Town The Easter Bunny will be hiding eggs for all kids ages 0 to 4th grade on April 11th, 10:30a.m. at the Gladbrook City Park. Movie at the City Center to follow. Rain location at City Center. Parents must accompany their children.

Library Coffee Time Stop in and join us every Friday afternoon at the Gladbrook Public Library at 2 p. m. for coffee and conversation. We might even discuss a book or two. Bring a friend and hopefully brighten your day and ours!! Pat & Karen

Garwin Lions Pork Supper The Garwin Lions will host their annual Pork Supper, Saturday, April 4, serving from 5 to 7 p.m., at St. Boniface Social Center in Garwin. Menu includes pork loin, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, gravy, roll, ice cream, and drink. Carry-outs and delivery available from 4 to 6:40 p.m., make arrangements by calling (641) 499-2180. Tickets available from a Garwin Lion, Carl’s Electric or Lincoln Savings Bank.

Gladbrook-Lincoln Senior Citizens The Gladbrook - Lincoln Senior Citizens will meet Friday, April 3rd, at the Gladbrook Memorial Building. The Auxiliary will be serving an 11:30 a.m. meal. I will need reservations by March 30th. Please call Marcella Lemke at 473-2924. Please bring your own table service.

Wolfcreek Whirlwinds Spaghetti Dinner Wolfcreek Whirlwinds 4H Club will host their annual Spaghetti Dinner on Sunday, March 29, serving from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gladbrook Memorial Building.

Olivet Lodge #436 A.F. & A.M. Olivet Lodge #436 A.F. & A.M. will have a special meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30th. Please bring your apron.

Crayon Corner Extended Leaning/Daycare The Crayon Corner Extended Learning and Daycare will be open this summer. Hours will be 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday thru Friday for ages 3 and up. For costs and to sign up parents may call (641) 473-2875, ext. 227
