G-R Project Radical Coalition TownHall Meeting On Monday, March 23rd the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Project Radical Coalition will be hosting a TownHall meeting. The meeting will begin with maid rites, chips, relishes and bars in the high school commons at 6:00 P.M. The meeting will start at 7:00 P.M. in the auditorium. The meeting will include speakers from the Iowa Juvenile Home, recovering methamphetamine addicts and their families, local health professionals and members of the Grundy County Sheriff’s department. We would like to invite parents, students, and community members to come to this special meeting. We are also collecting donations for our mini Relay for Life. We hope to see there.

Gladbrook Gals & Guys Check your calendars for March 27 and 28. The club will be making T-braids at the Middle School Lunchroom. Work times are 4-6?p.m. on Friday, March 27, and on March 28,8-11a.m. and 1-3?p.m. Call Pauline when you can work. We will have our club meeting and lunch on the 28 from 11-1. Your orders need to be called in to Pauline by March 14. Lunch/Presentations by Stephanie & Sidney Dilly and Courtney Catron. If working on Saturday, bring a marked rolling pin. Each member bring 3 marked large ice cream pails to Sherri Scarf before March 27.

Community Good Friday Choir Practice Community Good Friday choir practices will be Mar. 25 & Apr. 1 from 6-7 pm at Peace Church. All are welcome to sing!. Contact Sue Koster, 473-2900, for more information. The service will be at Chapel Church April 10 at 7:30 pm.

Corn Carnival Fundraiser The Gladbrook Corn Carnival pork loin dinner will be held on Sun., March 22nd, from 11-1 p.m. at the Gladbrook Memorial Building. Please mark your calendars.

G-R FFA Appreciation Breakfast The Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School FFA is excited to host a community appreciation pancake breakfast in order to thank all past and future supporters of the Gladbrook-Reinbeck FFA Chapter. Please join us April 4th, 2009 at the Lincoln Amvet Hall for a pancake breakfast, free of charge. The FFA will be serving breakfast from 7-11 a.m. and will serve on a first come first serve basis. A free will donation will be accepted to support the Gladbrook-Reinbeck FFA Chapter and activities.

Open Gym There will be an Open Gym in Gladbrook in the Middle School Gym on Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Come enjoy the fun.

Easter Bunny is Coming to Town The Easter Bunny will be hiding eggs for all kids ages 0 to 4th grade on April 11th, 10:30a.m. at the Gladbrook City Park. Movie at the City Center to follow. Rain location at City Center. Parents must accompany their children.

Library Coffee Time Stop in and join us every Friday afternoon at the Gladbrook Public Library at 2 p. m. for coffee and conversation. We might even discuss a book or two. Bring a friend and hopefully brighten your day and ours!! Pat & Karen

Griefshare Seminar/support Group Begins April 6th GriefShare recovery seminar and support group for people experiencing grief and loss will meet at New Hope Christian Church in Marshalltown every Monday evening at 7 PM beginning on April 6th, 2009. There will be an informational meeting for those who are interested in finding out more about this support group and an opportunity to pre- register on Monday, April 6th at 7pm. New Hope Christian Church is located at 3901 S. Center Street in Marshalltown.GriefShare is a 13 week video seminar featuring nationally recognized experts on grief and recovery topics. Seminar sessions include “The Journey of Grief”, “The Effects of Grief”, “Your Family and Grief”, Why?” and “Stuck in Grief”.
